First time at Haute Dog and Fries. I stayed in a nearby hotel and walked over to this quiet little spot.
The staff is top notch. I mentioned to my son that I was disappointed there wasn't any sweet tea and 5 minutes later one of the workers who overheard the conversation came out with a cold glass of sweet tea and a lemon. That's awesome service!
The food. I ordered the lobster roll and my son had the chili dog. We split the chili cheese fries and tatter tots. The lobster roll was amazing. I can see how this was featured in a magazine. The bun light not heavy, nice toast on it and the lobster was seasoned to perfection. I would highly recommend this if you are in the area. The chili was good and the fires were all fresh hand cut.
Very clean establishment with amazing food and service. A must try! -

1. It shouldn't take my entire 30 min lunch break to make one hot dog that is precooked when there are only 3 people in there.
2. There's this young girl with a bad attitude who always gets everything wrong. And not just like "oh I asked for no mustard." Its as if she pretends to hear your order and then goes and spins a slot machine to see what you'll get. This has happened to me twice now and everyone at work complains about her specifically.
3. Hot dogs are alright. Fries are better, especially the haute fries. Those are to die for. But nothing they have is worth the wait. -

26 minute wait for my 3 hot dogs and fries order. During the lunch rush that had 2 people in line, including me. They were handling online orders first. The line started to build up and chaos ensued.
A hot dog came out and they told me it wasn't from my order. When my food finally came up, they told me it was mine. So a nice cold hot dog that had been sitting out.
FYI the hot dogs were pre-cooked and sitting on the grill when I walked in.
Food is ok. Service has tanked since they were featured in the Washingtonian's Cheap Eats. Unlikely to return. -

The food was delish but a bit pricey for a half-smoke but I'm always down to try something new. It was in walking distance to a training I was attending and I wasn't really in the mood for an actual meal. Staff inexperienced and rude!!!
The cashier finished my order and I handed her my card, which she swiped a million times until I was like I think I have cash. My receipt had a time stamp of 12:32, had my half-smoke and fries just needed my shake. 12:50 the young lady brings over a shake and calls another customer to get the shake. At this point I'm like, I've been here 20 minutes waiting for a shake and I now I don't want it! Just let me get the money back for the shake.
An older gentleman obliges but with an attitude and I'm like dude, he's just like here's your money back -

Hot dog! Haute Dog and Fries is good!!! I didn't know what to expect but I'm glad I tried it. When you walk in you order at the counter and then wait for your name to be called. They have a big open seating area inside. I ordered the banh mi hot dog and was not disappointed. The toppings and dressing had just the right about of flavor punch without being obnoxious. Next time I'm craving a hot dog this will be my go to spot. I can't wait to try the other hot dog combinations!
